PROJECT DETAILS

As the lead UI designer, I helped shape the digital experience and interface of Song for Charlie’s fentanyl awareness initiative. I worked closely with the team to refine the branding and translate it into digital assets and a user-friendly, informative website

My goal was to create a visual system that resonated with young audiences and families, while conveying urgency and trustworthiness. The final product helped strengthen the organization’s online impact and broaden its reach.

First steps

Working closely with the lead User Experience designer, our user research team, and the key stakeholder, we put together a set of wireframes to clearly demonstrate the content structure of the web product. Our challenge was finding ways to skillfully and tactfully create a layout for the main website (Song For Charlie) which would include 16 pages of content surfacing ways to get involved, resources for teens and parents, FAQs and more. We were then also challenged with finding a way to create incorporate the sister program "Real Talk for Teens and Young Adults" that would house content that directly served content for conversations between teens and parents and resources for our younger audience members.

WEB design

It was important to ensure the final product felt accessible and interesting to both teens and their parents. We found that creating tabular modules was a great way for us incorporate all the information while keeping the design interesting and modern. The goal for these tabs was to insight action by using large text, fun and bright colors, while maintaining a clean aesthetic.
