PROJECT DETAILS
Since 2020 I have worked on a variety of projects ranging from independent artist's looking to elevate their web-presence or independent film posters to working with the Brooklyn Public Library on an infographic for an event.
Working on freelance projects outside of my 9-5 has allowed me to diversify my skill-set and create long lasting partnerships.
Kateh Gojeh farangi
Kateh Gojeh Farangi is an independent film from Film Farsi productions and directed and written by Armon Mahdavi. The film is about a young woman who recently moves to New York City and while missing her home, decides to make her Iranian mother's recipe. For the film cover I wanted to pull stills from the movie that represent the overall messaging of nostalgia.
nourish by mps
Nourish is a nutrition brand focused on helping clients that have had complicated relationships with food. My client works directly with people and gets their full nutrition and historical background along with blood testing. I was tasked with creating a simple and clear logo that clearly represents the brand. The client wanted to the logo to be centered around an artichoke and find a way to artistically wrap the brand name around the icon.
For the final chosen logo we went with a hand-drawn version and an elegant serif font to play themes of nourishment and full-circle/vitality.
Brooklyn Public Library
The marketing team at Brooklyn Public Library reached out to me to create an infographic for their Pathways to Leadership convention. With a high word count this project was nothing short of a puzzle but I had so much fun finding ways to visualize such an important narrative.
For the final product I wanted to play with library motifs as I brought in a wheely-cart, books, and a lamp to visually articulate the data.
REEL
REEL is a show written and directed by Sam Theobald. I was commissioned to create the show's poster and social media assets. The show discusses themes of romantic exploitation, catfishing, social media relationships, love, and betrayal. I directed the photoshoot with the two stars and created the final poster to create a sort of pixel grid to represent the narrative of the piece.
